People with good hearts

Picture these.

Situation 1.
You’re with a group of friends and all of you are talking together. Everyone’s telling stories and you’re enjoying it. You decide that even you want to tell a story. So you start. Everyone looks at you and you’re telling the story very enthusiastically. In between your story, though, someone interrupts you and starts talking about something totally off topic with someone else. Everyone is now listening to that. You feel a little hurt because you didn’t get to finish your story but just then you notice that there’s this one person who still hasn’t looked away. This person is still looking at you and waiting for you to tell your story.

Situation 2.
Again, you’re with a small group of friends. You crack a joke and it seemed so funny in your head but once you’ve said it, it just sounds lame. Now you’re regretting saying it but this one person laughs anyway. Suddenly, that lame joke actually seems worth telling.

Situation 3.
Your friend had asked you for a favor but you didn’t want to do it so you lied about being busy and went to hang out with some other friends. Unfortunately, you get caught red-handed. Your friend now knows that you’ve lied about being busy. They’re probably very hurt so you feel super guilty. You want to explain the situation and apologize to your friend. So you meet your friend and before you can finish apologizing, your friend makes an excuse for you and says that if they were in your place, they’d have done the same. Then forgets completely about what happened and continues to live life the same way.

Situation 4.
You’ve not made notes and you have an exam the next day. You need help desperately but you know no one will help you because no one has the time to help you with notes one night before the exam but you try anyway. You ask all of your friends if they could help you and all of them are giving you some or the other excuse for not being able to help. You’ve given up all hope. Then unexpectedly, your phone starts buzzing. It buzzez multiple times. Someone’s spamming you. You check your phone and there are so many messages by one of your friends. When all hope was lost, this friend helped you out.

In all these situations, do you notice how there’s one person who is there to help you out of any situation? These are the people who listen to you when no one else does, they laugh at your lamest jokes just so that you don’t get demotivated, they make time for you, the motivate you, they make the world a better place. The selfish beings that we are, we’ve never even tried to understand them. We don’t know what they’re going through, we don’t know if they ever need help. Some of us are so selfish and shameless that when they finally ask for a favor, we run away from it.

I’m pretty sure all of us have met one such person in our lives. If not, you will meet them soon and when that time comes, remember to hold on to them and never let go and PLEASE, reciprocate. Every action needs a reaction. After reading this post, I hope you value such people and try to be more like them. These people deserve much more than they get. Let’s give it to them.

Have you met someone this nice? Go ahead and tell me a little but about them! I’d love to know! πŸ˜€

I know I haven’t posted in very long and I’m so sorry for that. I’ve just been way too busy with so many other things right now. I’ll try and be more regular now on! πŸ™‚

  1. This post is extremely relatable, and it’s true we don’t value the good one’s and always crib about the bad one’s and in the process we don’t realize what we loose
